RE: Filtering changes to svn:mergeinfo properties

We are currently experiencing the same frustration.

I've had a read through http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2008-09/0008.shtml and I guess it means that the devs are aware of it, but I don't know if it has been resolved or is still being developed. It really is quite frustrating doing a merge of one revision (which in one of our simpler examples contains only one file), only to see 5 other unrelated files included in the changeset, and the diff is only in the mergeinfo property. I understand that the merges need to be tracked in some location, but why do I need to be shown it, especially when it is on a file that hasn't changed?
