moderation

Hi,

I was browsing through the mailing list archives and
came across Karl Fogel's request for moderator. Since
I collect spam for processing, might I enquire as to
how one can be as a moderator? Or am I too late?
Karl's message was last year November so I could be
a bit too late? Or is the requirement includes being
on the list for x # of years?
