Let's just say "not fully tested". Here's what I recommend:

1) Make a copy of your repository.
1.5) Edit the script to remove the exception.
2) Run the reshard script on that copy.
3) Make sure the copy isn't busted.
4) Replace the original with your copy.
5) Report success to the mailing list!
