As Andy said, there's not really much to it.

However, I'd like to further that in that on the server side - it depends how you have Apache setup if you are using Apache/webDAV; but again, this is nothing specific to SVN.

Essentially - if you have Apache setup to listen only on a given IP address, you will need to update that IP address in the Apache configuration. Likewise, if you specified the ServerName it will need to be updated - especially if you specified a Fully Qualified Domain Name.

Otherwise, the change is basically on the user's side - running svn switch.

I've done this several times. My server was configured for specific IP addresses that changed.

HTH,

Ben

Subject: IP Address and domainname changes

I am running version 1.2.1 of Subversion
on a RedHat 4.0 server. I have questions pertaining to the change
of my servers IP Address and then the domainname (about a month later).

From a server administrator side;
1. Is there anything that needs to be
changed when the IP Address changes?
2. What needs to change when the server
domainname changes?

From an end user perspective:
1. Is there anything that they will
need to change? Thank you.
