Windows authentication

From reading stuff it looks like if I want to use Windows
usernames/passwords the only way to do this is to run Apace on my
Windows server. Is this correct? I thought that the new support in
svnserve for authz or whatever it was would allow for this but it
doesn't seem to.

If I am wrong is there a way to use Windows username/passwords with
svnserver rather than maintaining a passwd file? If so, where is this
documented?
