The case issue is with the client side, not the server side. Even with a Linux
server, if you have Windows clients, you should install the case checking
pre-commit hook.

I like deploying on Linux much better because you can more easily use all the
tools and additional packages with Subversion, such as shell scripts and Trac,
to get work done. Not that you can't do these on Windows, but there's typically
more work involved.
