web based document management app

Hi...

Question? What's the best web-based (lamp) document management app that
you've actully used????

I need:
 -user access control list finctionality
 -doc check out/in
 -doc creation
 -ability to add functionality to the app..

basically, i have a list of sites that i'm going to parse. i want to then
have a separate repos/dir for each of the site, with the parsing script for
each site, in each of the repos/dir...

i need a web based approach to manage this whole process. the ability to add
functionality, means i can then tie it into the functionality that actually
does the crawling/parsing of the websites...

i've looked at various apps docmgr, etc.. and wanted to get comments from
the list.

if i can actually talk to any author of the actual apps, that would be cool
as well!!!
