I encounter the nicety of a working copy SVN requesting me to
clean up and then failing from time to time, too. On Windows, but
no real time virus checker nor indexing nor other background stuff
interfering with access to versioned files. Can't say why, it seems
only that once I had aborted a commit (or update) just before in
TSVN. Checked out anew in each case and painstakenly
transferred all pending modifications and unversioned/ignored files.
