Entering the password 6 times for svn log?

Hi there,

I'm not a subscriber to the list, but I did search a bit before
asking. Bear with me if this has been addressed elsewhere.

I'm generally a happy TortoiseSVN user and I recently upgraded to
1.5.3 from 1.4.X (Running on Windows Vista and XP x64)

To my dismay, I now have to enter my password six times to get an svn
log. It used to be two times (which I imagined was explainable) and
was livable, but 6 times seems like a bug, not a feature.

Any advice? (BTW - I'd rather not store the password - the password
prompt gives me a second to think before shooting myself in the foot!)
