Read again: My +1 was regarding "Anyone in favor of "The Principle of Least Pretension"?", not reply-to munging. OK, maybe i misunderstood that "Principle of Least Pretension" thing. I'm on this list since quite some time now and, as Felix has already observed, this issue comes up time and again. But instead of doing away with it each time by saying "Reply-To munging is bad, read the FAQ", i'd really appreciate if we take those that would like to have it seriously and finally have a poll. I'd personally be curious about the results of such a poll. Of course not all users will participate, so the final decision would not be based on what *all* users think. But that's how democracy works, doesn't it? I doubt this will be decided by poll, As said above, i think a poll is *exactly* what is needed to decide about such an issue. please let the thread finally die. It's annoying that this topic needs to be discussed every time someone new asks - it only adds noise for no benefit. Quietly pointing to the FAQ entry should be sufficient, no discussion required. I'm well aware of Felix Gilcher's strong and helpful input on many issues raised by users on this list, but *this* statement sounds a bit dictator-like, don't you think? Why can't we just all go live with it and let the mailing list admin(s) decide. See above: I believe that the admins should ask the user base about what they think. JFTR: I didn't ask the list admin for anything. Well, I do now: Have a poll about this issue.
