Hello Matt,

The "New Feature Compatibility Table" near the top of the release notes
states 1.5 clients are required for file:// repository access, whereas
any version client will work for other repository access protocols. This
makes sense logically as well.

So my guess is you are fine with pre-1.5 clients, because nobody in an
environment other than a local sandbox uses file://, right?

P.S. The "New Feature Compatibility Table" is the most succinct
reference for how the server/client versions interact.
