User cannot modify file locked by him

Hi

One of our users reports that he cannot modify a file locked by him.
Subversion reports:

Lock failed <filename>
Error Path '/trunk/...' is already locked by user <username> in
filesystem '/home/svn/...'.

Now <username> is the name of the user who is reporting the issue. So he
should be able to modify the file.

He did modify his Windows user password this morning but we can't see
why that should have caused this problem. Curiously, TortoiseSVN also
asked him to re-enter his authentication details after he changed his
Windows password.

Any thoughts please?

Best regards

David
