I found it very difficult to get LDAP working (not sure I managed it at
all), but SSPI was dead easy. So that would be an advantage if you
were starting from scratch and Windows-only. If you've cracked the LDAP
problem, and you're in a mixed environment, then I guess that won't
apply. I also have some odd authentication problems which I attribute to
SSPI, but it's possible LDAP would have been just as troublesome.
