Conceptually, they are the same. A working copy is ANY directory
created by checking out from a Subversion repository.

I'm not sure where the "issue" was in the first place. The book is
quite clear, IMO, if one does more than simply skim over it and
instead reads with the intention of developing an understanding.

Most programmers don't consider the time taken to understand how their
tools operate "wasted."
