We actually moved from MKS to CVS, and are now slowly migrating to SVN.
We were driven away from MKS by cost (it was too expensive for us). I
would simply say that we have no regrets. Although commercial support
for SVN is available, we have not needed it so far. The SVN and ViewVC
user groups offer excellent support and the SVN documentation is
excellent. I should say that we moved away from MKS about 6 years ago,
so I am not familiar with their current offering.
