make check and python version

Hi,

While building subversion 1.4.5 I got errors with the test suite that seem
to be python version dependant.

With python 2.5.1 I get a first failure at basic_tests.py (and beyond).

With python 2.3.5 so far so good.

INSTALL doesn't specify a max version of python.

Any other similar problems or comments before I submit a bug report?
