Subversion Vista Install Failing

From: johne <jeichels_at_yahoo.com>

I have tried and failed to install Subversion on Vista Ultimate.

I have installed Python 2.5.1 on my machine here and then I tried to install
using all defaults the svn-python-1.4.5.win32-py2.5.exe file to attempt to
install.

In doing so as administrator, I get a several errors which cause subversion
to never install fully. The errors are:
    1. "Could not create...... svn-python-py2.5" in a small pop-up
box.
    2. "Could not set key value Python 2.5 svn-python-1.4.5" in a next
pop-up box.
    3. "Could not set key value C:\Python25\Removesvn-python.exe" -u
"C:\Python25\svn-python-wininst.log"

After these "OK" error pop-up windows, it then installs some files under
C:\Python25.

After this is done, the install seems incomplete.

I require its use in Netbeans and imagine that somebody has to have this
working under Vista after this much time has gone by.

Ideas on what I can do?
