migrating and restructuring an svn repository

HI all,
I need to migrate a svn repository to another server and I'd like to alter the
structure of the repository itself (adding directories and splitting a
project into two). I need a little help to do that:
Does a dump of the repository help me in this (in particular with the
repository refactoring)? How can I preserve the history of the commits
splitting the project into two?
