Yes, I wish I'd had something like that as well...feel free to submit
a patch to INSTALL. :) If I had the time, I'd go through the whole
she-bang from scratch and carefully document everything you have to do
for both VC6 and VS2005....but I don't think that will happen anytime
soon.

As you implied (I think), Subversion itself builds and works fine with
VS2005. The dependencies are often hit and miss in their support for
Windows, though, let alone VS2005 -- which is where the headache in
building Subversion on Windows is. Once you have the dependencies in
place, it's trivial to build Subversion with VC6 or VS2005.
