Can I use mailer.conf

Hi,

I was just wondering if I can use mailer.conf with a shell script that I
created to send email to developers. Right now my script just sends the
email to every developers and it can't distinguish between the projects, and
I think mailer.conf does that.

So does anyone have any idea on whether it is possible to use
mailer.confwith any kind of shell script or not? Or
mailer.conf is specifically for mailer.py?
