subversion binary package for Linux Red Hat

Hello,

I was hoping to download a binary package for "Red Hat Enterprise Linux
ES release 3 (Taroon Update 8)" but became confused when looking for a
suitable package of subversion 1.4.3 (or thereabouts).

Can you please advise me where to download the most recent version
available for this OS?

BTW, i am not familiar with .rpm files. Can you please explain what I
should do with it once it has been downloaded.
