If you look at the posting that started this thread, I
think that idea may solve it; at least we're hoping so,
and trying to see if there are problems that could still
come up, using that approach I described.

That original posting also has links to the current plans
and state of the effort to fix this problem in the code;
basically it seems to be in progress but may take a
while and we're looking for a reliable workaround in the
meantime, hence the long suggestion I described in that
original posting.

If you have a chance to look at that, do you think that
would work to address the issues that have been described?
