Tagging sure is fast... we're forced by the way we chose to structure
our repository to use svncopy to pin our externals when we branch. This
entails

* checkout
* grovel, grovel, grovel, grovel
* commit

Not fast. But, fast enough for my purposes. I certainly wouldn't want
to go back to CVS. Not only is rename nice, but the efficient handling
of binary files allows us to use SVN in situations where we wouldn't
have bothered to consider CVS.
