Problem committing changes

Hi everyone. Lately, I've been having a really strange problem committing
changes to an svn repository. Here's the output:

svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: MKACTIVITY of '/!svn/act/b87c42b4-7327-0410-8618-bbecdf3356cc': Could
not read status line: connection was closed by server. (
http://svn.jokosher.python-hosting.com)

If I try to perform the commit again, it fails but the unique id changes. I
can perform updates/comparisons/replacements without problems.
I was using a 1.3.x client and switched to a 1.4.x, but it didn't solve the
problem.
It started failing one day out of the blue, and none of the other devs are
having any problems with the repository.
I already had a conversation with the tech support from python-hosting but
couldn't get anything out of it.

I'm really lost since I've tried all the suggested ideas (use another folder
for the checkout, cleanup, etc). Thanks for your time, -David
