svn merge crash on Windows under 1.4.2

I have been having problems with svn merge since upgrading to version
1.4.2. The details I have are:

- Using svn 1.4.2 (r22196) under Windows XP professional (with all
  Microsoft updates installed).
- svn crashes when merging between a branch and the trunk (I've seen
  it going both ways).

- It amay be data pattern related since I've gotten the crash at the
  same point when moving trunk changes into multiple branches.
- In the latest case, I deleted the workspace, checked it back out,
  and it worked, so it may relate to files in the .svn directory.
- Windows collected whatever automatic crash information, don't know
  if that is sent anyplace useful or not.
- Windows says the last crash I got was in an Apache library.

Unfortunately the repository and files involved are large and
proprietary, so I can't provide a repeatable test case. I've seen
this on text and binary files.

I never saw a problem using svn 1.3.2 (in this case under cygwin).

I can't find an open issue matching what I'm seeing. Is this a known
issue? Is there other information I can collect to further identify
what is going on?
