Thanks for the hint -- I have no idea how the src/
directory came to be switched. I have just started using
svn and, athough I had heard of the command, I've never
used it. (weird, what else can switch a directory?)

Anyway -- after doing the single-file commits and discarding
my local trunk, then checking out a fresh copy, I find I
can commit multiple files.
