Unrecognized URL scheme

I did a fresh build of 1.4 on my mac 10.4.8 intel laptop and I am now
getting this error message. I built everything with defaults. From this
page (http://subversion.tigris.org/faq.html#unrecognized-url-error) i
gather this is a link error but there is only info on fixing it on
linux. Unfortunately I am on a mac (no ld.conf). Anyone know what I need
to do on a mac?
