move failing

I love that svn has the ability to move but moves always seem to go haywire for me

So I did a svn move on a directory - just really trying to a trivial rename on
the directory:

phenote/doc> svn move phenote-web-site phenote-website
A phenote-website
D phenote-web-site/phenote.html
D phenote-web-site/phenote-human.jnlp
D phenote-web-site

that seemed ok - but then i committed and got this:

phenote/doc> svn commit
Deleting doc/phenote-web-site
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: DELETE of
'/svnroot/obo/!svn/wrk/2d242995-da22-0410-9ef7-c30a072d0cc4/phenote/trunk/doc/phenote-web-site':
Could not read response body: Secure connection truncated
(https://svn.sourceforge.net)
svn: Your commit message was left in a temporary file:
svn: '/home/mgibson/pheno-tool/java/svn/phenote/trunk/svn-commit.tmp'
p

heres my svn status

phenote/doc> svn status
? api
? svn-commit.tmp
D phenote-web-site
D phenote-web-site/phenote.html
D phenote-web-site/phenote-human.jnlp
A + phenote-website

any clue what i did wrong and how i can ammend that situation?
thanks, mark
