Two geographically separated sites? SVK would probably be a better fit
for that.

The way we're planning on using DRBD is as a hot-spare setup where the
2nd machine is ready to go at a moment's notice.

(But I don't have direct experience with either scenario... yet. So I
could be wrong.)
