Strange status on fresh checkout

Hello all,

Everytime I checkout a project from my repository and then immediately check
the status I see something like this:

? dH
!M public_html
!M logs
!M includes
!M scripts

The dH folder does not exist, but subversion is listing it and every file in
the working copy is flagged "!M". So it is telling me that the directory is
missing or incomplete and the that properties have changed. However, I
haven't touched a single file since I checked it out. If I run a commit it
wants to update every file and then after the commit is saved each file
maintains the same status.

I am running subversion 1.3.2 connecting to an Apache 2.2.2/webDAV system.
I should also note that I am checking out the working copy on the same
machine that the repository is and that if I check the project out on a
separate machine I don't have a problem.
