recommended _Pragmatic Version Control Using Subversion_ by Mike Mason;
published by Pragmatic Programmers, LLC.

Thanks to everyone for the great feedback so far. I had found the online
book in an earlier search and am slowing making my way through that and I've
also tagged the book you mentioned, Erik, for purchase as well as another
that looks promising.

Please keep suggestions coming. The more I learn the smoother this
