 Super, your efforts are greatly appreciated. I do have two viable
solutions now, rewrite to python or use above directly or at very least
as a frame to workaround the issue in perl. Will be rather exiting
to see how it'll perform compared to open(FH,"cvs...|"), I hope to
find some spare time in few days to try it out.
 And of course kudos to everyone else on the list who have chipped in.
