I use Subversion 1.3.1 with Apache 2.2.2 on Mac OS X 10.4.6 PPC. No
problems so far. If you're really trying to use Subversion 1.1.4,
please upgrade to 1.3.1.

You must compile Subversion and Apache 2 with the same version of APR.

The pre-built Windows binaries of Subversion are compatible with
Apache 2.0.x but not Apache 2.2.x. It's not that it wouldn't work,
it's just that nobody has bothered to build such binaries yet. Anyone
is welcome to do so of course.
