Managing 2 almost indetical web project.

Hi,

 I have a web project (php/mysql), a planification tool in fact, that
 had been duplicate for an other department. There différences in HTML
 pages and php code, the project are almost identical.

 I had made a branches for the second and done the adaptation asked by
 the departement.

 Now i woold like to find a easy way maintain the commun parts of the
 two project.

 Is somebody had the same problemetic, or know a way to do it?
