svn:eol-type set to native... still getting UNIX EOL on windows

Hi,
I have svn server running on Windows. The initial import of files was having DOS line ending. Then I checked-out on Linux system and converted to UNIX line ending and set the svn:eol-type to native. When I checked-out on windows, I get the UNIX line ending instead of DOS.
Can somebody suggest what went wrong in the process and what is the workaround.
I am using subversion version 1.2.3 for both server and client.

Thanks and Regards,
Praveen
