locking directories

From: Sebastien LEDUC <sebastien.leduc_at_st.com>

Hi,
it seems svn's lock command works only for files and not for directories:
svn lock file://myrepos/mydirectory
svn: 'mydirectory' is not a file in filesystem '/myrepos/db'

I am looking for a way to temporarily forbid any commit from other
people in a particular directory (and all its subdirectories).

Any idea of how to achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Sebastien
