Re: Need Help Deciding Which Server To Install

If you are using Mac OS X Tiger server, you may run into problems getting
the LDAP piece to work with Apache (2.0.55 and 2.2) for AD authentication.
While trying to setup our server, we noticed the code that does the Kerbos
stuff wasnąt being accepted by the AD server. If you do get it to work, let
me know how you did it. You will have to upgrade your Apache server to a
2.0 version. Subversion requires that.

I recommend using Darwin Ports for deploying Subversion and Apache. You can
find more about Darwin Ports at http://darwinports.opendarwin.org/.

For Eclipse, use the Subclipse plug-in (http://subclipse.tigris.org). It
works well and community supporting is active and continually developing the
plug-in.

Personally, Iąd go with Apache/mod_dav_svn route. It sounds like you all
have a number of Apple computers. If you decided to use WebDAV, Apple makes
it really easy to use to feature.
