adding source from old working copy to new repository

I have a set of directories that used to be under Subversion control on
machine A. (We no longer use subversion to manage these directories, but
there are still old .svn directories lying around.) I want to take a subset
of that data and add it to my working copy (which is linked to a different
subversion repository, which we are still using).

So I copied the data that I wanted from Machine A to Machine B, where my
working copy resides. I deleted all the .svn directories, but when I try to
"svn add" them to my other repository, svn tells me that the directory is
already under version control. Any idea how I can grab these files and add
them to my new repository?
