Release (-d) for me as (former) CVS-user means:

I'm finished with this directory, I currently don't want to
continue working on it, please remove it from my workspace
        and from my eyes.

But it's not deleted or moved to another place, ``virtually'' it's still
there in the repos, only that I (at client side) decided that I don't want
to see it now.

One good thing is: If I did \rm -rf, things would be removed from my eyes,
as well, however, without warning. Release will warn me about

        - not checked-in files
        - not commited/up-to-date files

Martin
