OK, I have used tags/ layout, found it inconvenient. 'svn up -rLABEL' would be
much better. So no what?

I find everything in SVN nice and natural except tag-branches. These I could
not use to after a year or so of everyday svn usage. Can't there be some
solution to fit our view of world as well?

For goodness sake, Tom, open your mind a bit and realise that there is
"There's more than one way to do it." (man perl(1)).

As discussed elswere in this thread, label list can be attached to any
directory (i.e. path) of your liking.

Good! :) Could you please try to persuade developers they leave a bit of disc
space for the future implementation of the feature? Maybe some user will
eventually come up with implementation patch :)

You will be disappointed. Anybody is free to switch to any tagging mechanism
they like, even to use paper-and-pencil method to tag releases :P
