I've never understood why it's considered "good" to allow anyone to do
anything they want regardless of knowledge on the subject, as opposed
to creating a small barrier to entry that more or less requires that
people understand what they're doing when they do it.

I'd much rather spend an afternoon training someone how to use the
tools and understand the concepts than blow 2 days fixing something
they didn't understand and subsequently mangled because the GUI let
them "stumble through" it, but get it all wrong.
