Mark, your comment seems to have been passed over on the list, but as a
happy Subversion user who has received so much benefit from this
project, the least I can do is stand up and say "hold on a minute!".

Implying that Subversion doesn't work is not only a slap in the face to
the many, many developers who have worked so hard to make Subversion
what it is today, but it flies in the face of the experience of the 10's
of thousands of users for whom Subversion not only works, but works very
well.

It is unfortunate that you had some difficulties upgrading your
installation (I'm happy to see now in a later post they are resolved),
but please, don't extrapolate the problem of you having out-of-date
libraries into what amounts to FUD.

To Ricardo, who was worried by this comment (see FUD above): Subversion
works very well for thousands of people. I don't claim it to be the
holy grail, but in my experience it does the job reliably and well.
Try it out and judge for yourself.

Regards,

-Nathan
