Unfortunately no help but I encouter this problem from time to time, too.
I can't tell if it started with a certain revision of Subversion but it
seems
as if I have the problem more often the last days/weeks.
In my case it was always (AFAIR) enough to just say 'svn up' again, so no
cleanup
neccessary.
