svn:externals - date instead of revision number?

Hello,

I do not find an answer in the Subversion Book. It is possible to specify
a certain revision in an svn:external definition, like

bla -r26 http://svn.bla/bla

Is it impossible to specify a certain date? This will make it more
convenient to fixate a release at a certain point. Revision numbers
are sometimes subject to change, unfortunately.
