svn error: Revision file lacks trailing newline

I have seen a few other messages on the topic but no solution. I hope it
will be useful to you to know about this bad experience.

I have a svn repository running svn 1.30 on a MacOS 1.4.4 Mac Mini. svn has
been compiled from source, and uses the file systems for archiving. The file
system is MacOS Extended. The client is another MacOS 1.4.4 running
avn 1.30compiled from source. I did not use other software for the
problem to happen
(svnX as an example). The repository already contained other data, coming
from both the MacOS client and a Windows XP one.

During the night I imported into the repository from the MacOS client about
11 Gb of files (the whole iPhoto library: hundreds of JPG files including
the unuseful ones: thumbs etc.). It was the first very big import (previous
ones did not go over 150 Mb) and it took a lot of time but I had no visible
errors.

Then, at the first checkout, I got the "Revision file lacks trailing
newline" error. Of course the mistake is shared through the whole
repository, so I cannot access no more also to the pre-existent data in it.

The whole repository is now 4.2 Gb, of which 4.01 are in the db/revs/19 one:
where did the data go? :-o The file systems has a 2 Tb file size limitation.

I admit I am not an experienced svn user, but in this case I think I did not
do many strange things to make this happen. I will keep the repository for
you, if you have questions. Please help, thanks,

Gianfranco
