How to undo an svn add command

From: David Arnold <dwarnold45_at_cox.net>

All,

I wanted to add a directory but not its contents (I should have done
svn add figure --non-recursive), but I did svn add figures and
consequently everything in that directory is scheduled for inclusion
in the repository on the next commit.

I want to cancel this command, then go back to svn add figure --non-
recursive.

Can someone point the way?

Thanks.
