One client does not ask for password ....

I have set up a SVN server based repository. In the 'conf' file i have made the appropriate settings so that all users can read but commit is authenticated for specific usernames/passwords. There are 8 such clients set up using TortoiseSVN. However, one PC does not ask for the password when the commit is done there. Is there something that i might have missed ?
