well, I am willing to give it a try. However, where to start? It's
been years since I last configured an apache 1.3.19 (IIRC) manually.
Since then, I switched to apache as delivered by Debian.

Thus, if you can give me a mini howoto on the different steps I have
to apply to get the
      U httpd
     Checked out revision 357724.
to work with my subversion repositories, I am more than happy to help.
