How to zip hot-backup repositories in a script

From: egoots <egoots_at_gmail.com>

I could have sworn I saw this posted somewhere but for the life of me
cant find it by searching...

I am using hot-backup.py as a scheduled task on windows to backup up
our fsfs repositories... it works fine for the moment

I would like to compress these in the script and have the only output
be an archive. Ideally in a single command.

Can some who has done this please provide me a recipe.

Thanks
E
