If this is truly your current process, then you have nothing to worry
about. A few weeks after the switch you will be laughing at how
ridiculous your previous process was and what a godsend it is to be
using Subversion.

I was a little worried when I suggested the switch from Visual Source
Safe at our company... now I frequently hear comments like "I'm so
glad we switched to subversion"... with no real source control system
in place now, the effect will be that much more positive for you.

And there is no need at all to worry about being able to 'back
out'... if you had to it won't be that bad. You could probably ask
on the list and someone would have a script that would do it for you
posted later in the day :) (Andre has basically done that for you
already)
